Trauma. We hear the word a lot but do we pause to take it into account in therapy. ~ This little one has been through a ton of trauma in her young life just like so many kids with disabilities. She perceives therapy as threatening so we have to do our part to comfort, reassure, and provide rest. ~ Fight, flight, freeze, fawn. ~ What I love most about her is her grit!
