🎻 In this Hungarian Dance No.1, Johannes Brahms captured ecstatic energy of the traditional Hungarian folk dance characterized by dramatically varying tempos, lively rhythms, and whirling virtuosо passages. Brahms has been inspired to compose his Hungarian Dances since he was 20 years old when he met the Hungarian violinist Ede Reményi. Brahms became Ede’s accompanying pianist touring with him all around Europe and learning about native Hungarian folk music. | Nikolay Madoyan
