You can get a numbered list a lot of ways in Excel. Using SEQUENCE is one of the quickest. This function also works in Google Sheets. Keep in mind that this function will fill in your numbered list as long as there isn’t data in cells below. For example, if in this example there was something in A2, using the SEQUENCE function would give you a #spill error because there’s data in the way of what the function would display.
