Microsoft is touting a raft of improvements to .NET Hot Reload functionality introduced in Visual Studio 2022 Preview 2.

Microsoft announced that when using Visual Studio 2022 and starting the app with the debugger, Hot Reload works with most app frameworks.

Beyond Hot Reload and IntelliCode, Microsoft notes that "there are hundreds of other things under the hood that will help you" in Visual Studio 2022.

In the .NET 8 Preview 4 release, .NET Hot Reload implements support for modifying generic methods, reducing the number of changes that require restarting for the change to take effect.
